Designed to meet industry, business and government requirements, Village Ambulance Service first aid courses are your assurance of quality, flexibility and expertise.

All programs are state-of-the-art and cover skills and other select subjects needed to sustain life and manage the scene of an injury.

Emergency Level First Aid  

The Emergency Level First Aid courses include five core lessons (four hours).  

  • Emergency Scene Management
  • Shock, Unconsciousness and Fainting
  • Choking (Adult)
  • Cardiovascular Emergencies and One-Rescuer CPR (Adult casualty)
  • Severe Bleeding

We also offer 18 elective lessons. Add any of these to the five core lessons to custom design a program specific to your organizational needs.*

Heartsaver® First Aid

Teaches how to manage illness and injuries in the first few minutes until professional help arrives. Course content includes General Principles, Medical Emergencies, and Injury Emergencies. Optional: Environmental Emergencies.

Heartsaver® First Aid with CPR & AED

Teaches CPR, AED use, relief of choking in adults and children, and use of barrier devices for all ages. Teaches how to manage illness and injuries in the first few minutes until professional help arrives. Course content includes General Principles, Medical Emergencies, and Injury Emergencies.

Pediatric First Aid (PedFACTS®) for the Healthcare Provider

Caregivers need to know what to do when a child is injured or becomes suddenly and severely ill. Most injuries that require first aid are not life-threatening. Usually, first aid involves simple, common sense procedures. However, first aid can sometimes mean the difference between life and death. All caregivers and teachers should have pediatric first aid training. The PedFacts course is designed to give caregivers the education and confidence that they need to effectively care for children.
