Village Ambulance Service is the 24/7 primary provider of 9-1-1 emergency medical services to the citizens of Williamstown, New Ashford and Hancock, Massachusetts, and Pownal, Vermont during the weekday hours of 6am to 6pm. Village Ambulance Service also provides mutual aid services to the city of North Adams and Adams, Massachusetts.
To provide the highest level of service, our ambulances are staffed by a Massachusetts-certified paramedic and Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), whom are trained in CPR, airway management, medication administration and monitoring, I.V. therapy, EKG and 12 lead monitoring, and cardiac support including defibrillation and pacing. They're skilled at dealing with all medical emergencies, and their goal is to stabilize patients prior to handing them off to hospital personnel.
