What is the Hybrid EMT Course?
In our Hybrid EMT course, the entire didactic portion of the program is done online and as a result, the amount of face-to-face time is used for practical skills training only. For example, when the course begins, students will meet with the their instructors and classmates only one day a week for the practical skills or “hands-on” sessions and do the classroom assignments on their own from home using a computer and the Internet.
How does the Hybrid EMT Course work?
Using Jones & Bartlett’s Navigate System, through Learning Management System (LMS), instruction for our Hybrid EMT course is delivered through media (interactive PowerPoints, videos, links, and audio technology) and the Internet. Our course also has an online discussion board and live chat feature for enhanced interaction between the instructors and students.
Are there deadlines for the online work I do at home?
Yes. Even though you get to dictate what kind of schedule you can have and what time you will do your work, participating in this course will definitely require you to maintain the discipline to make weeklydeadlines on time.
What are the enrollment prerequisites for in the Hybrid EMT Course?
Must be 18 years of age at time of the National Registry of EMTs practical examination. This exam is typically scheduled approximately 2 weeks after both the didactic and the practical components of the course are completed.
